AT&T Releases October 2017 Security Patch for Galaxy Note 5, S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and S7 Active

AT&T has released October 2017 Security Patch update for Galaxy S6 (G920A), Galaxy S6 Edge (G925A), Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (G928A), Galaxy Note 5 (N920A) and Galaxy A7 Active (G891A).The build number are as follow: AT&T Galaxy S6 Got G920AUCS6EQJ1, S6 edge got G925AUCS6EQJ2, S6 Edge Plus got G928AUCS4EQJ1 , N920AUCS4EQJ1 for AT&T Note 5 and G891AUCS2BQJ4 for S7 Active.

The Update brings the latest security patch to these devices.The update is still on Android 7.0 Nougat.The Updates are rolling out in the US and AT&T users may have received these updates already.The Update comes with some bug fixes which were available in the previous update.It also brings performance and stability improvements to the device.

The Update is available via OTA (Over-the-air) and currently releasing in a phase-wise manner.If your device is not rooted then you may have already received the OTA Update.If the update is not available on your device then wait for few days for the update to come to your device.You can manually check for the update from your device’s settings.Go to About Device > Software Update.Now Press the “Download” Button.Press “Restart & Install” Button.Rebooting will begin automatically.
