AT&T rolls out update for LG Vista 2 with KRACK Fix, Blueborne fix and September Security patch

Recently AT&T rolled out the software update for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and LG K10 just a few days ago. Now AT&T rolling out the new software update for LG Vista 2.

The software update for LG Vista 2 is tagged with the build number MMB29M and software number H74020r. This update is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow brings Security patch, bug fixes which includes Fix to the Wi-Fi KRACK bug, Blueborne fix.

This update is rolling out via OTA (Over The Air) which weighs around 93MB in size.Those who didn’t wait for OTA they can also try manually pulling the firmware by going to Settings > General > About phone. (If using List view, scroll down to PHONE MANAGEMENT,’ then tap on About phone.) >Update Center > System update > Check for update

BlueBorne is the dangerous attack vector which spreads through Bluetooth. while there is no pairing is required to the attacker to gain the access to your device. If the BlueBorne patch is not applied in your device, the attacker can easily access your device even if the Bluetooth is on.

If you own the LG Vista 2 then you will get the update notification popup anytime. Before installing the update make sure that your device has at-least 50% charged and connect to the Wi-Fi network to avoid the data charges.
