Updated Sept 09, 2017 – Steps To Downgrade Google Pixel XL From Android Oreo To Android Nougat (Android 8.0 to Android 7.1.1): The latest smartphone from Google which are the Google Pixel smartphones, made and designed exclusively by Google was launched in October last year. As far as the smartphones are concerned, the smartphones were named as the Google Pixel and the Google Pixel XL smartphones and they were manufactured by HTC. However, Google has not mentioned the fact that the smartphones were made by HTC till date. Now, the Google Pixel XL was the more premium smartphone out of the two smartphones launched last year as the smartphone has a bigger display but nothing different other than.

In terms of the specifications and internals of the Google Pixel XL, the smartphone was launched with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels at a PPI of 534 pixels per inch. In terms of the processing prowess, the smartphone came out with 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 32GB of internal storage cannot be expanded. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Google Pixel XL packs a 12.3-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies. Other than that, the smartphone also had a bigger battery than the Google Pixel XL as the smartphone was launched with a 3450mAh non-removable battery as opposed to a 2770 one on the Google Pixel.

Now in terms of the software, the Google Pixel XL was the first to launch with Android 7.1.2 Nougat which was the latest Android version at that time. The smartphone is now upgradeable to Android 8.0 Oreo which is the latest version of Android released by Google earlier this week. However, we have known that there have been known bugs in the latest version of Android and you might want to downgrade your Google Pixel XL to the previous version which is Android 7.1.2 Nougat. If this is the case, down below is the guide to downgrade your Google Pixel XL from Android Oreo to Android Nougat.
