Download the latest USB drivers for your device.

  • For MHA-L29C567B190 (USA) – Download (update_full_MHA-L29_hw_usa.zip)
  • For MHA-L29C185B190 – Middle East – Download (update_full_MHA-L09_hw_meafnaf.zip)

#1 Method

Step 1. Extract the downloaded appropriate Zip file and go to the root directory on your device.

Step 2. Create a folder “dload” in the root directory and transfer the update.app file to that dload folder.

Step 3. Disconnect the device from your computer and then go to Setting and tap on Update option.

Step 4. Tap on the menu button and select Local Update. Now you have to browse and select Update.app file and the installation process will begin.

Once done, reboot your Huawei mate 9 and your OS will be rolled back to Android Nougat.

#2 Method

Step 1. Extract the downloaded appropriate Zip file and go to the root directory on your device.

Step 2. Create a folder “dload” in the root directory and transfer the update.app file to that dload folder.

Step 3. Disconnect the device from your computer and then go to Setting and tap on Update option.

Step 4. Press Volume Up + Volume Down + Power button together and the update process will start automatically.

Wait for the process to complete and reboot your device.
