Samsung has released a new security update for the Galaxy J7 Prime. This update includes latest February security patch. This is the minor update it includes nothing other than February security patch. There may be some minor stability and performance improvements. This update is tagged with build number G610FDDU1AQA2.
This update is rolling out via OTA (Over The Air).Those who didn’t wait for OTA they can also try manually pulling the firmware by going to the Settings –> About Device –> Check for Updates and download it manually. If you want to wait for OTA, then it may take few days to reach all corners for the world.
The Galaxy J7 Prime is budget friendly smartphone was released in September 2016. It includes a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Exynos 7870 processor with 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage and 13MP rear camera with 8MP selfie shooter. It comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. There are some rumours that this device may get Android Nougat very soon.
Before proceeding for installation make sure that you have atleast 50%-60% battery on your device and we strongly recommend to download the update via WIFI network to avoid data charges.
