Samsung has been launching its flagship devices for the year everywhere around the world and the launch of its S8 and S8+ in U.S is also imminent in the coming days but that hasn’t stopped the company from seeding the security updates or Android version updates to its flagship or mid-range smartphones. The company has not had extremely good reputation in the updates department in the past but this has now been changing thanks to Samsung’s effort to give timely updates to all its phones. The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has been awaiting its official Nougat update but in the meanwhile it is receiving another update.

The device has been receiving monthly security updates. The latest such update installs the April security patch and goes by newer firmware version. In addition to that, this update also keeps device performance at its best with bug fixes and other system enhancements. This update is obviously the which is the April security patch and is rolling out as build A910FUBU1AQC2, while earlier, its March security patch was rolled out in timely fashion too.

We have had several rumors about the device getting the Nougat update and the rumor mill says that the update could be launching sometime around next month. The update could be launching in May 2017. The thing you can get in the soon to come update is : Notifications are now bundled, feature a Direct Reply feature (awesomeness!), and order of quick settings toggles can be edited too, while you also have Doze on-the-go to get you better battery life on 7.0.

The split-screen mode helps you with multi-tasking, while there are tons of under-the-hood improvements at system level that result in smooth experience overall.

Make sure to install the April security patch as soon as it comes as you don’t want to compromise with the security of your device.
