LG has released a new OTA update for its LG G6 in Korea.

LG electronics has been quite busy in the last couple of months. The company first launched the LG G6 in the end of February at the MWC in Barcelona. Then we saw LG releasing the date of the launch of its smartphone in U.S which is set to be April 8. We have already reported that AT&T has already started shipping the LG G6 to the customers who pre-ordered the phone and have already sent the first update to the phone. Now, we have reports that LG has started to send an OTA update to its LG G6 smartphone in Korea.

This is the first OTA update for LG G6 in Korea post its launch there on March 10th and brings a bunch of new improvements. The update is sized at 157MB, the update improves the camera quality and auto focus function when shooting movies. It further enhances the HDR10 image quality and brings improved gallery performance for fast file sharing. The update changelog says that the update will bring a host of changes to the phone including improved camera quality, better touch performance and more.

Meanwhile, we have found out some improved and notable features in this new update to the LG G6. This include improved OTG recognition rate, better touch performance and enhanced call quality. The phenomenon of no icon display when restoring home screen also gets a major refresh and the issue is now fixed.

Now to the part where we always advice our customers before any security update to the phone has been released, please ensure that your phone has atleast more than 50% juice left and also make sure to download the OTA update in a Wifi range however big or small it may be to ensure appropriate downloads. Also make sure to create a backup of important data just in case something goes west.
