Samsung has been doing all the work in the past couple of months that the company had to do in the last 6 months. We are talking about the Nougat update to all of its 2015 and 2016 smartphones that the company has launched. All the devices across the world are receiving the Nougat update to their phones everyday. We have been sharing the news of some Samsung phone getting the Nougat update and today is no different. We are also very happy to recommend Samsung phones if you want updates sooner or later while some of the Chinese companies are scrutinized for not being able to provide updates as promised to their flagship phones as well.
Anyways, here we are talking about the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus Nougat update which has been rolling out to the phones in Canada region. The above mentioned Samsung phones are receiving Nougat update which brings Android 7.0 Nougat to both the devices. The Note 5 and S6 Edge users are reporting that the phones receiving the update have build numbers as N920W8VLU4CQC9 and G928W8VLU4CQC8 respectively. These builds are also expected to most likely be also installing the latest Android security patch which is the April security patch released at the beginning of this month by Google.
Now as a part of the update process, as it is a software upgrade and the update being from the Android 6.0 Marshmallow to Android 7.0 Nougat update, the update should be big in size so make sure to download the update on WiFi network as it may incur extra charges if you use data connection. One more thing to note is that the phones should be kept charged above 50% so that the update process can take up battery as much as it needs and there will still be juice left on your phone.
