[Update:Tweet deleted by Samsung]Samsung locks down April 19 as the launch date for Galaxy S8 in India.

Samsung has been enjoying a wonderful couple of months lately. The company launched its much-awaited smartphones, the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ in U.S on March 29. The phones have received tremendous support after launch and the company is on track to achieve record sales as well as pre-orders for the phone. The phone is yet to be launched in India though and the Indian fans have been waiting for the opportunity to behold the smartphone in their hands. Now, that wait is almost over as Samsung India has officially announced the launch date of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ in India. The launch date is set for April 19 in India and Samsung announced this via its Twitter handle.

Samsung India has uploaded a teaser video just like its earlier teaser for the U.S launch showing the transformation of Samsung phones from tall bezels to the bezel less Infinity Display. The video ends with the caption Galaxy S8 / S8+ Coming Soon. Here’s the embedded tweet for those who want to have a look:

Interestingly enough, Samsung India has deleted the tweet where it said that the phone would be launching in India on April 19. We have also got the earlier tweet which said that the release date is set for April 19. You can have a look at the old tweet down below. We have also embedded the newer tweet from Samsung India and while this tweet hasn’t been changed much, the one thing that has changed is that now it says that “Stay tuned for details”. This is an interesting developement on Samsung India’s part and we will keep you updated for more details from Samsung.

We have also got the screenshot of the earlier tweet from Samsung which announced the launch date but that has been deleted since then. Have a look.
