Alleged Asus ROG Phone 5 shines on TENAA again, no secondary display this time

Last month, An Asus device bearing model number ASUS_I005DA believed to be the ROG Phone 5 appeared on the Chinese TENAA certification. The listing revealed that the phone has a secondary display on the back panel. Today, another Asus device with model number ASUS_I005DB similar to the previous one, spotted on the TENAA certification.

The TENAA images for the ASUS_I005DB resemble the ASUS_I005DA. So, this new model could be another variant of the ROG Phone 5 (ASUS_I005DA). One interesting thing to note here is that the new listing lacks a secondary display. So, this one could be a cheaper variant of the ROG Phone 5.

The previous listing (ASUS_I005DA) has revealed that it has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone is said to feature 144Hz high refresh rate. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset. This upcoming ASUS phone will pack a 6,000mAh large display with 65W charging support (as seen on the 3C certification).

The company is yet to reveal a launch date for its next smartphone. However, rumours are that it will go official in late March or early April 2021.
