Samsung Galaxy A80 is now receiving Android 11 based One UI 3.1 update . As per the information, the update is currently rolling in Europe with firmware version A805FXXU5DUC7.
Android 11 and Samsung’s One UI 3.1 skin bring tons of new features which include Object eraser tool, Private share, Chat bubbles, One-time permission, Built-in screen recorder, Samsung free, and Eye comfort shield. The Android monthly security patch also gets upgraded to March 2021.
Galaxy A80 was launched back in 2019 with Android 9 Pie. So, this is the second major OS upgrade for the device and it won’t be getting further OS update. However, the device will continue to receive regular security patch update for a while.
The Android 11 based One UI 3.1 update should reach your Galaxy A80 with a pop-up notification. Users can manually check for the latest update by navigating to Settings >> Software update.
