Android 12 update for Galaxy S10 5G is now live in the US and South Korea

Galaxy S10 5G was one of the very first phones from Samsung to receive the Android 12 update. The device started receiving the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update in the last week of December, which has been expanding to more regions. Now, the Android 12 update for Galaxy S10 5G is available for the US and South Korea.

The latest OTA update for the Galaxy S10 5G is rolling out in South Korea with the firmware version G977NKSU6GULB. It is also being rolled out on the US carrier Verizon, tagged with the firmware version G977UVRU8GULD.

While the Android 12 update for Verizon-bound Galaxy S10 5G also brings the January 2022 security patch, South Korean users are getting a month older December 2022 security patch. According to a report from Sammobile, Samsung is also sending a new software update to the Galaxy S10 series users in Germany that brings the January 2022 security patch.

What’s new in One UI 4.0

One UI 4.0 is a major upgrade, and hence you can expect a big list of new features and improvements. In addition to the One UI 4.0 perks, the device gets Android 12 core features. You can create unique color palettes using the wallpaper that is applied system-wide, giving the phone a refreshing look.
