Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro has been updated to V220.127.116.11.PDMMIXM December 2019 security patch. The update is now rolling out in some regions. The OTA weighs in around 366 MB in size. This is an incremental hotfix update. The update mainly addressed the bugs which were present in the lock screen, notification, clock and screenshot.
Xiaomi has become a household name in India and China. The company has been dominating these two huge mobile markets with its budget and mid-range device lineups. Xiaomi’s Redmi series is a huge hit. Devices like Redmi 6 pro are very popular among buyers due to the very low price tag and awesome features these come with.
Just a few weeks ago Xiaomi has updated the device to MIUI 11 update with September 2019 security update. It is almost certain that the device won’t be getting the official Android 10 update. The current update is very important for the device as it is bringing the latest security patch to the device.
Check OTA Updates
If your device is not rooted, then your device may have received the update. You can manually check whether the update is available in your region or not. Go to the Settings –> About Phone –> Check for Software Update. The update will be available across the globe but as it is being rolled out in a phased manner, it may take some time to be available in every region, but if you want you can manually install the latest MIUI 18.104.22.168 on your Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro handset.
