How To

Everything you need to know about OnePlus 6

Here we are sharing everything we know about OnePlus 6: OnePlus within few years of its entry to the mainstream market, has grown as an important android smartphone manufacturer. All of their devices was a great success and have received a lot of positive reviews from around the globe. Unlike other manufacturers who launches a lot of models to catch the market position, OnePlus only launches one or two every year. But they make sure that the flagship devices they launch every year are all set to match up the user need following the current trend.

The two models which came into the market from OnePlus in 2017 is the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. Both the devices were a success and now both have a larger user group. They have also been successful in delivering a better update on their device. As the year 2017 is ending, all the eyes of the OnePlus device lovers are to the OnePlus 6 without a doubt.

The OnePlus 6 is rumored to be coming out in the first half of 2018 itself. Considering the trend following by Oneplus in releasing their devices, the new OnePlus 6 can be expected between April-June month of the year 2018. The users are waiting for the release of OnePlus 6 eagerly. And this time the expectations are that the flaws of the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T like the absence of QHD display and water resistance will be solved in the OnePlus 6.

Rumours about OnePlus 6

As any other smartphones with a lot of expectations, many rumors and news have already started to come out about the OnePlus 6. OnePlus unofficial forums have already given an important part for the OnePlus 6. This clearly shows the amount of expectations people have kept of the new device from OnePlus. Please read through to find out what we have known so far about the aspects of the device.

Design

The design features as known so far will be similar to that of the OnePlus 5T without any noticeable changes. But it is possible that a taller bezel-less display to be included on the device. After the launch of iPhone X with the latest face recognition technology, there is a big chance of OnePlus choosing something to match this. Based on the movements seen from the company the fingerprint sensor may move under the display. The high chances are that the face unlocks available on the OnePlus 5T to stay for OnePlus 6 as well.

Display

One big thing missed in the current flagship, the OnePlus 5T is a QHD or 2K display. So the one important thing expected on the OnePlus 6 is an upgraded display. In a time of VR technology getting important for smartphones, OnePlus might strongly consider a better resolution display.

Hardware

You can expect a Snapdragon 845 processor with an 6 GB RAM capacity on the new OnePlus 6. The storage might stay at 64 GB. The chances of an 8 GB RAM and 128 GB coming out is low, as this will seriously affect the price tag of the device. The camera will be same as the old dual camera setup.

Camera

With the current dual camera setup, the OnePlu 5T and OnePlus 5 camera seem to work really well. So the dual camera setup will stay as it is most probably. However, there can see improvements in terms of other features of the camera. A better optical image stabilization and improvements to work better in low light conditions can be seen with the OnePlus 6 camera.

Battery

So far there haven’t been any issues reported about the OnePlus 5T, which means that it is working pretty good. So the battery setup will stay as it is with the OnePlus 6 most probably. Wireless charging is not expected, as their current technology works better than that. A slight increase in the battery capacity can be expected, as it is needed to cope up with the increased features.

Software

The OxygenOS 6.0 which will be Android 8.1 Oreo-based can be expected with the OnePlus 6. But project treble won’t be supported as the OnePlus itself have announced it.

Other expectations

Other features expected to be added are water/dust resistance and front-facing stereo speakers. We are still not sure about the expandable storage support.
