Samsung’s June 2021 security patch is rolling out at full pace. Today alone, the newest security patch released for Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy A71, Galaxy A52 5G, and Galaxy A10e. And, the company is still not done for the day, as Galaxy Fold users start receiving the June security update.
The June update for Samsung’s first foldable phone carries firmware version F900FXXS5EUE2. It is currently rolling out in France, but should not take too long to start hitting the remaining regions where the device has been launched. To manually check for the latest update on your Galaxy Fold, head over to Settings >> Software updates and then tap on Download and Install button, if an update is available.
The June 2021 security update should bring a bunch of fixes from Samsung and Google, which are yet to be announced by Samsung. Usually, the company details a new security patch in the first week of that month. So, in the coming 2-4 days, we’ll know which security bugs are being patches in the June security patch.
Samsung Galaxy Fold was launched back in 2019 with Android 9 OS out of the box. Last year, it received Android 10 update and got Android 11 update earlier this year. So, the device has already received a total of 2 major OS upgrades. And, the device may also receive at least one more major OS upgrade, Android 12.
