Galaxy A20 gets January 2022 security update in the US

Samsung has already released the January 2022 security patch for a bunch of Galaxy smartphones, and it continues to roll out, the latest one being Galaxy A20. The US unlocked variant of the Galaxy A20 has started to receive the January security patch with the latest update.

The latest software update for Galaxy A20 is rolling out OTA (Over-the-Air) with the firmware version A205U1UESBCVA1. It fixes dozens of system security and privacy-related vulnerabilities by incorporating the January 2022 security patch. Also, it adds enhancements to system security and improves system stability.

Users having the US’s carrier-locked Galaxy A20 have started picking up the January update. Those who have not received it yet should manually check for new updates by navigating to Settings >> Software Updates.

Galaxy A20 is an entry-level phone released back in early 2019. The device came pre-installed with Android 9 Pie. It has already received two major OS upgrades, as a result of which the Galaxy A20 is now running on Android 11 with One UI 3.1 skin at the top.
