Galaxy A21s gets May 2024 security patch, likely it’s last official update

Samsung is wrapping up support for the Galaxy A21s with a final security patch in Europe. This budget-friendly phone from 2020 is getting the May 2024 security patch, likely its last security update.

European A21s owners should watch for One UI build version A217FXXSCDXE2, a compact 153 MB installation package. While it’s starting in Europe, other regions can expect it soon.

The update is currently being rolled out in Europe, but Samsung will probably send it to other countries soon. To get it, just go to your phone’s Settings, then Software Updates, and tap Download and install. The installation process will start, and the device will proceed to the fresh update once the installation (updating process) is finished.

If the update is not on your device, just wait a few days for the update to come, as it is being rolled out in a phase-by-phase manner. It will take a few days for the update to come to all supported models.

For those who don’t know,. The Galaxy A21s is a budget-friendly device released back in 2020, and now it’s reached the end of its update road. It won’t get any Android versions past 12, and this May 2024 patch is likely the last security update it’ll see.
