Galaxy Note 10 series bags August 2022 security patch update

There’s no match to Samsung when it comes to rolling out software updates. While most smartphone OEMs have not yet started distributing the August 2022 security patch, Samsung has already pushed it to over a dozen of Galaxy phones. Today, the company’s last Note series – Galaxy Note 10 – starts receiving the August security patch.

The latest OTA update for the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ can be identified by the firmware version N97xFXXU8HVGA. For now, it is available in Switzerland and Samsung does not take too long to expand the update to more regions. So, if you are a Galaxy Note 10 user and do not belong to this region, you’ll need to wait for a few days to install the August 2022 security patch.

As detailed by Samsung this week, the August 2022 security patch fixes over 30 vulnerabilities of different severity levels. It helps your device strengthen security and privacy areas. Hence, install the update as soon as you get a notification for the same on your phone.

If you are a Galaxy Note 10 user in Switzerland, you should be able to download and install the latest software update by navigating to Settings >> Software update and tapping Download and install.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is the company’s latest phone in the Note series. It was released in 2019 with Android 9 Pie out of the box. As promised, the company has already released three major OS updates (up to Android 12), and therefore it’s not eligible to receive Android 13 or further OS updates. However, the device will keep receiving security updates for a while.
