Galaxy S10 Lite gets January 2022 security update in India

Samsung has started to roll out the January 2022 security patch update for Galaxy S10 Lite users in India. The update was initially started rolling out in Spain a couple of days ago, and now expanding to India.

The January update for Galaxy S10 Lite users in India is tagged with the firmware version G770FXXS6FVA1. It fixes dozens of vulnerabilities to improve system security and privacy. The OTA package has a download size of just 175MB as it is a minor security patch update.

Samsung has also started to send the February 2022 security patch, which has been released for the Galaxy Note 20 series. It will reach more devices in the coming days.

Galaxy S10 Lite users in India have started picking up the January 2022 security patch. Those who have not received it yet, check for the latest updates manually from the Software Update section under the device Settings app.

Samsung released the Galaxy S10 Lite in early 2020 with Android 10 OS out of the box. Last year, it received the Android 11 upgrade, and the Android 12 upgrade has been released too. Luckily, the device is also eligible to get a taste of Android 13.
