Galaxy S21 owners in India and the UK getting One UI 5.0 Beta 2

Following the release of One UI 5.0 Beta 3 for the Galaxy S22 series, the company has now pushed the second One UI 5.0 Beta firmware to Galaxy S21 series devices in India and the U.k., bringing new features and significant improvements.

Changelogs

The data suggests that the latest beta version of One UI 5.0 for the Galaxy S21 includes significant improvements to the lockscreen, such as the option to change the wallpaper without first unlocking the device. In addition, the lockscreen itself may be pressed to alter the appearance of the widgets and the time and date.

Samsung included an automatic midnight restart to improve the overall performance of your device in the first Beta release. Customers were not pleased, so in Beta 2 the company implemented a new feature that disabled the auto-optimization option.

The OTA update will be made available to those who have enrolled their Galaxy S21 handsets in the beta programme. Release of the update has begun in India and the U.K as of this writing. In time, it will become accessible in more locations.

For a manual check, click Software Update from the Settings menu. The availability of the One UI 5.0 Beta 2 update will be displayed. Prior to updating, we recommend you back up all of your data and charge your phone to at least 50%.
