Galaxy S21 series gets July 2022 security patch

Just like in previous months, Samsung has started releasing the July security update to its devices. Now the Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra have started getting updates in many countries. FYI, Galaxy S22 series has already received the same update.

The July 2022 security patch for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra has begun rolling out in Germany for these devices. Other European markets are expected to follow in the near future, as well. Customers of the Galaxy S21 can look for the latest update by looking for the firmware version number G99xBXXS5CVFB. The update is around 260MB in size.

In order to make the update available to everyone worldwide, it will be pushed out in stages. In the countries stated above, Samsung Galaxy S21 series owners can check for and download the newest software update by going to Settings » Software Update and selecting Download and install.

Samsung unveiled its Galaxy S21 smartphone line, which runs Android 11 and has the company’s One UI 3.1 user interface. These handsets will receive four major Android OS updates from the South Korean manufacturer. For an additional five years, they will receive security improvements.
