Galaxy S23 Ultra spotted on Geekbench running One UI 7

While Samsung gears up for tomorrow’s Galaxy Unpacked event, they’re not slowing down on software updates. A Galaxy S23 Ultra was just caught running One UI 7, based on Android 15.

Tipster @tarunvats spotted the US carrier-locked S23 Ultra in the Geekbench database. This comes just a day after a similar sighting of the S24 Ultra running the new software.

With Android 15 hitting platform stability, Samsung seems to be testing it on older phones. This could facilitate the rollout of a public beta in the months ahead.

Samsung has big plans for its next major software update. One UI 7 is set to debut on October 3, 2024, at the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC). The rollout is expected to kick off later that month.

The Galaxy S24 series, Z Flip 6, and Z Fold 6 are likely to be the first devices to get One UI 7. These flagship phones will showcase Samsung’s latest software innovations. Eager users won’t have to wait until October to get a taste. Samsung plans to launch a beta program in August. This will give select users a chance to test drive the new features before the official release.

Looking ahead, the S24 series and likely the Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 are set for a whopping seven years of Android and security updates.
