Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ now receiving the May 2020 security patch update

Samsung is one of the first manufacturers to release the latest May 2020 security update to its devices. Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus users have started receiving the latest May security patch update via OTA (Over-the-air).

Both the devices have already received the May 2020 security patch in some Asian countries and now the update made its way to Germany. The update brings software version G96xFXXS9DTD7. Currently, the update is being rolled out in Germany and it will take some time to be available all across the Western Europe region.

The update’s full changelog is not yet available. But as it is an incremental update, most of the critical security vulnerabilities have been fixed with the update. It also improves the performance and system stability of the device.

All the interested Galaxy S9 series users can check for the OTA update manually via the device Settings – Software update – Download and install
