Galaxy Tab S8 series is the company’s latest and most powerful tablet series, which was introduced last month. The Galaxy Tab S8 trio are now receiving a new software update that brings the February 2022 security patch.
The latest build for Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra comes with the firmware version X700XXU1AVC5, X800XXU1AVC5, and X900XXU1AVC5, respectively. It brings the Android security patch level to February 2022, which fixes over 60 vulnerabilities in Samsung phones.
According to the changelog, the update mainly brings the February 2022 security patch. However, the package size of just under 1400MB suggests that it might include more than just a new security patch.
For now, the February security update for the Galaxy Tab S8 series is rolling out in Canada. And hopefully, it will expand to more regions in the coming days. To manually check for new updates, head over to the Software Update section under the Settings app.
