Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 get June 2024 security update in the US

Samsung is now giving out a software patch for June 2024 for their folding smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, for users in the United States.

This update provides improvements to security and stability, along with performance improvements.

It fixes more than 55 vulnerabilities, making privacy and security stronger. The update solves issues with viewing photos, seeing battery use, checking calls, and using the phone dialer easily.

The following firmware versions denote this update:

  • Galaxy Z Fold 5: F946USQS3CXE9
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5: F731USQS3CXE9

It is first available for Samsung-locked phones on the US Cellular network, with wider distribution expected in the coming days.
