Google has started to release the security patch for Android every month in order to secure the Android OS from the threats of the attackers as its an open source platform and there are many backdoors which can be built to enter the Android OS. This has been all but solved every month by Google and as is the regular process, Google has now released the April security patch update to the Pixel and Nexus devices. One thing to note is that this patch is available for both the Nexus and Pixel devices running on either Android 7.1.1 Nougat or the latest Android 7.1.2 Nougat update released by Google just last month.
Both the factory images as well as OTA files have been released by Google for the below mentioned Pixel and Nexus devices. The new firmware update arrives with April security patch. Other than the latest monthly security patch, the update also comes along with fixes for at least eight ‘critical’ issues. As we have earlier said about Google’s security patch, the developers at Google are already hard at work to solve the next attack on Android.
