Honor Play 3 and Honor Play 3e users in China have started getting the official May 2020 security patch update via OTA (over-the-air). The update is currently being rolled out in a phased manner, so it may take a few days to reach all Honor Play 3 and Honor Play 3e devices in the country.
The update brings the software version number 9.1.0.160 to Honor Play 3e (KSA-AL10) while the Honor Play 3 (ASK-AL00x) gets the update with software version 9.1.1.183. As it is an incremental update, the OTA size is very small weighing around 120MB
The latest May security EMUI update mainly focuses on the security of the device. The update addresses 22 High Vulnerabilities, 2 Critical and 2 Medium CVE. If you are Honor Play 3 and Honor Play 3e user, then we highly recommend you to update your device.

The update will bump the security version of Honor Play 3e from 9.1.0.150 to 9.1.0.160 and 9.1.1.181 to 9.1.1.183 for Honor Play 3
