Honor has released a new HarmonyOS software update for the Honor V30 and V30 Pro. The latest build is based on HarmonyOS 2 which mainly brings the May 2022 security patch. It comes with the HarmonyOS 188.8.131.52 software version.
The May 2022 security patch for Honor smartphones fixed dozens of vulnerabilities related to system security and privacy. More specifically, it fixes 1 CVE in the framework, 6 CVEs in the system, 5 CVEs in the kernel, 1 CVE in the application, and 53 CVEs in third-party libraries.
The HarmonyOS 184.108.40.206 software update for Honor V30 and V30 Pro was announced through a post on the Huawei forum. According to that post, the OXF-AN00 model number of Honor V30 and the OXF-AN10 model number of the V30 Pro will get the May 2022 security update.

The latest HarmonyOS build for the Honor V30 and V30 Pro is a minor security patch update as it does not brings any new features or changes to the user interface. The build aims to improve system security and privacy.
If you are an Honor V30 or V30 Pro user, you will get the HarmonyOS 220.127.116.11 update soon, if you haven’t received it already. Alternatively, use the steps mentioned below to manually download the latest update.
- Open the Settings app on your phone.
- Go to System & Updates.
- Select Software Updates.
- Check new updates and proceed to download and install.
