Follow this guide to know How to Enter Into Recovery Mode On Honor Magic 2. Like all other Android devices, the new Honor Magic 2 also comes with a stock recovery. The stock recovery has very limited functions. Most of the time stock recovery is used to install the official update via ADB sideload and to factory reset the device.

There is another type of recovery available for Android and it is called Custom recoveries. These recoveries like TWRP recovery or CWM has loads more functionalities.  These Custom recoveries allow users to take nandroid backups (full system backups). Users can install Custom Firmware /ROMs, Kernels and other .zip or .img files via these custom recoveries. One thing you have to remember, you can’t install Custom recoveries unless you unlock the bootloader of the device. Remember, if you install any Custom recovery, it replaces the stock recovery. Users have to follow the same steps to Boot into Stock Recovery or Custom Recovery.

The Honor Magic 2 was recently launched by Huawei (October 2018). Honor Magic 2 comes equipped with a 6.39-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display (1080 X 2340 pixels). Like all other Android devices of 2018, Honor Magic 2 sports dual real camera setup. It has a 16-megapixel (f/1.8) primary camera and a 24-megapixel (f/1.8) secondary camera. The Honor Magic 2 houses a 3500mAh non-removable battery

The Honor Magic 2 is powered by 2.6GHz octa-core (2×2.6GHz + 2×1.92GHz + 4×1.8GHz) HiSilicon Kirin 980 (7 nm) processor and it comes with 6GB of RAM. The phone packs 128GB of onboard memory which is non-expandable. It runs Android 9.0 Pie at the top of EMUI 9.0.

Enter Into Recovery Mode On Huawei Mate 20 Pro

  • Turn off your smartphone completely.
  • Now Press and hold Volume UP button along with Power button simultaneously for a few secs
  • Your Honor Magic 2 will enter the stock recovery.

Note: Use Vol Up and Down button to navigate the menu and Power button to select.
