HTC U Ultra Has Started Receiving 1.64.401.10 OTA Update With October 2017 Security Patch: HTC released the first flagship smartphone from the company in the latest HTC U series and the smartphone was called as the HTC U Ultra. This smartphone was announced along with the launch of the HTC U series which is now the flagship series from HTC and all of the flagship devices coming from the company in the successive years will be launched in the HTC U series. Now, the U Ultra which now becomes the first smartphone to be launched in the HTC U series has a secondary ticker display on the top of the screen which was same as the LG V10 and the LG V20.

The smartphone was launched at the very beginning of 2017 so it came with Android 7.0 Nougat along with HTC’s custom skin of Android. Now, the smartphone might be getting the Android Oreo update soon but there is a new update which has been sent out to the HTC U Ultra by the company. The latest software update from HTC for the U Ultra comes with version number 1.64.401.10 and the most notable change after this update will be that the smartphone will be updated to October security patch.

It is particularly interesting to note here that HTC is known for delivering Android and security patch updates pretty regularly but we have already entered December now and HTC is just rolling out the October security patch to its premium device.

The October security patch was released by Google in the first week of October and the November security patch is already out so the update to November security patch is pending for the device. Also, we will see the release of December security patch from Google in a few days time so it will be further delayed to next month. Now, this update comes as an OTA update so stay tuned for the notification to download this update on your device.
