Some time ago that Xiaomi and Huami decided to start working together to create a series of products that have been very well received, highlighting a smartwatch that was introduced some time ago with the name of Huami Amazfit. This smartwatch, which has received such good reviews, has now received a renewal with a much more sporty design and a lot of technology that makes this Huami Amazfit 2 one of the best options currently available in the market.
Well, not another thing, but this new model enters through the eyes in a more forceful way than the Pace did at the beginning, although time, some very good characteristics and the drop in the price meant that in the end, it became a Sales success for Huami. As we can see, it is an intelligent watch that promises both durability and a wide range of functions thanks to its sensors. The Xiaomi Huami Amazfit 2 will recognize up to 11 types of sports activities. In addition, it is resistant to water, so we can submerge it up to 50 meters deep.
Currently it is goingffor $196 which is for very limited time and this is the cheapest price ever for the smartwatch
[Review] Huami Amazfit 2: Our Opinion On This Smartwatch
On the other hand, it offers monitoring functions, such as oxygen absorption (measured in VO2 maximum), the effect and loads of exercise (TE and TD) together with the recovery time. The difference between the normal and the luxury model lies in its strap, while in the normal one it is rubber, the most expensive model has a leather strap. Your GPS will not make an excessive battery since it is a Sony chip manufactured at 28 nanometers and low power.
To begin with, we went from a mixed sphere of plastic and metal like the one that the Pace had to a body totally constructed in stainless steel of type 316L with parts of carbon fibre, which gives it a greater prestige to the sight, achieving a much more elegant. We have also gone from having nothing but a button on the right side of the watch, for my impractical taste, to three side buttons that give it the typical look of a normal clock, fleeing a bit from the aesthetics of the Pace.
In this aspect we will also be able to buy our watch with two types of strap, the already typical rubber that would be the Stratos 2 and another reinforced leather and more elegant that is what is called Stratos 2S. The rest of the characteristics of both models are the same, with the exception of the aforementioned belt. The upper part has 2.5D finishes and a sapphire crystal to ensure it will continue in good condition with the passage of time has a 1.34-inch OLED screen and a resolution of 320 x 300 pixels.
The Amazfit Stratos is able to recognize up to 11 different activities such as walking, running, cycling, hiking, mountaineering, climbing, triathlon, etc., of which we can have all the records stored in our account and we can view them from the Amazfit Watch app that has recently received a great facelift to catch up with this new device. Thanks to its resistance type IP57 we can do dives of up to 50 meters, so there will be no problem in doing snorkeling sessions or wearing them while swimming in the pool. One of the novelties is the ability to monitor data such as the level of oxygen absorption (VO2 maximum), and we continue to have a heart rate monitor.
Of course, something that could not be missing is the GPS + GLONASS with which we will have a high detail of our routes abroad. In its bowels we will find a dual-core processor at 1.2 GHz, accompanied by 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of storage, of which we will have approximately a total of 2 Gbytes to store our songs and apps. The connectivity is in charge of a Bluetooth 4.2 module and the WiFi chip that incorporates with which we will be able to control part of the home automation devices in the Xiaomi MiJia environment. Mount a lithium battery of 280 mAh that should last about 5 days of normal use and about 25 hours of intensive use. Another new feature is the inclusion of a barometer but they have not incorporated an NFC chip, although it allows Alipay payments, which for Western users is impractical.
These are the characteristics of the Huami Amazfit 2:

- The dual-core processor at 1.2 GHz.
- 512 MB of RAM.
