Huawei July 2020 Security Patch Tracker

The Chinese OEM Huawei has released the EMUI 10 update based on Android 10 its plenty of devices and currently, the EMUI 10.1 is rolling out for its eligible devices. Whereas Huawei has announced that the latest July 2020 security patch update will soon start rolling out to the compatible Huawei models respectively via OTA in batches. The security patch updates are very important for OS running devices in order to provide better security and an additional layer of privacy to the devices. When Android developers (Google) released a new security patch update every month, most of the OEMs including Google offer the same security patchset along with some additional changes/fixes to their devices. It also brings the system stability and improves performance by preventing or eliminating all the possible security vulnerabilities.

Now, talking about the Huawei devices, the OEM provides CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures), and similarly, the company has recently announced that the July 2020 Android security will be rolled out soon. Most of the time, an outdated security patch version increases the loopholes and possibilities of being affected or attacked by a remote attacker quite easily using arbitrary code, etc.

The latest July 2020 Android Security Patch Level by Huawei brings the different levels of vulnerability fixes that were present within the Huawei devices running EMUI 9/EMUI 10 respectively. It includes 5 critical and 9 high levels of CVEs. There was no Medium or Low CVEs found in the latest security bulletin.
