Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro specs and screen protectors leaked online

Huawei is gearing up to launch a flagship Mate 40 series smartphone which consists of Huawei Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+. Screen protectors for Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro have been listed on Alibaba (see below). The company has used ordinary hyperboloid screen for the Mate 40 and super waterfall curved screen for the Mate 40 Pro.

A notable leaker @RODENT950 shared key specifications of the Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro. According to him, the Huawei Mate 40 will sport a 6.67-inch curved display with 90Hz refresh rate. On the back, we may see a triple camera setup which consists of 50MP primary camera, a 20MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto lens. The phone is expected to be powered by Kirin 1000 chipset. It could come in 8GB/12GB RAM variants with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options. The tweet also mentions a battery capacity of 4,300mAh.

For the Mate 40 Pro, the tipster says it will feature waterdrop style display from LG or BOE with 90Hz refresh rate support. It is expected to be powered by Kirin 9000 chipset paired with 8GB/12GB of RAM. As for the camera, the phone could have 50MP primary camera, 80MP ultra-wide camera, a periscope lens and a 3D ToF sensor. The phone could have a 4,600mAh battery capacity.

The company has not announced anything about the Mate 40 series. Some rumours suggest the launch in the month of September.
