Huawei has rolled out a new camera optimization update with EMUI 188.8.131.52 SP1 to the Huawei Mate 40. The update is still based on EMUI 11. The latest update is being rolled out in a phased manner via OTA.
The update brings fixes to several bugs which were being reported after the last security update. Along with all these fixes, it also integrates some camera fixes as well which improves the overall camera experience.
Meanwhile, you can manually check for the update. If you own the device, you can manually check for the update, Go to System > Software update > Check for updates.
There is another way to update, open HiCare app > Update > Check for updates.
