Huawei Mate Xs, Nova 7 SE 5G Lohas Edition getting February 2022 security patch update

Huawei continues to add more devices to February 2022 security patch list with the latest ones being the Huawei Mate Xs and Huawei Nove 7 SE 5G Lohas Edition. The latest security patch includes fixes for dozens of vulnerabilities to improve system security, thereby making the device more secure. 

The latest software update for Huawei Mate Xs comes with the HarmonyOS 2 version 2.0.0.228. It has a download size of 323MB, which updates the security patch level to February 2022. The latest security patch includes fixes for 1 critical, 31 medium, and 9 high-level CVEs.

Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G Lohas Edition, on the other hand, has also started picking up the February security patch with the latest software update. The update comes with Harmony OS 2 version 2.0.0.222, a small upgrade from 2.0.0.221. The changelog has no mention of any other changes, apart from the February security patch. Hence, don’t expect the update to bring any new features or performance improvements.

Via Settings app:

  • Open Settings app
  • Go to System & updates -> Software update
  • Tap on Check for Updates
  • Hit the Download and Install button
  • Reboot the phone

Via My Huawei app:

  • Open My Huawei app
  • Tap on Update
  • Now, tap on the Download and Install button
  • Reboot the phone
