May security Patch released for Huawei Nova 5T, P Smart Z, Mate 20, and Mate 20 Pro

Huawei has released the May 2020 security update to more devices. The company has started seeding the May patch to Huawei Nova 5T, Huawei P Smart Z, Huawei Mate 20, and Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The update is being rolled via OTA (Over-the-air).

Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro

Two Huawei Mate series devices, the Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 20 have also been updated to May 2020 security patch. While the mate 20 gets the version 10.0.0.220 (C432E8R1P5), the Huawei mate 20 pro’s update brings version 10.0.0.221 (C432E7R1P5). The Huawei Mate 20 update is around 128MB in size and the update size of Huawei Mate 20 Pro is also 128MB.

Huawei Nova 5T

Huawei Nova 5T’s May 2020 security patch update brings the version number 10.0.0.212 (C431E3R1P2). This update brings security and stability improvements to the device.

Huawei P Smart Z

Another Mid-range device from Huawei, Huawei P Smart Z is also getting the same May security update. It comes with version 10.0.0.196 (C431E8R1P2). It improves the security of the device.

The update is currently being rolled out in some regions. Meanwhile, you can manually check for the update. If you own the device, you can manually check for the update, Go to System > Software /System update > Check for updates. or open HiCare app > Update > Check for updates.
