Huawei Nova 7 5G and Nova 7 Pro 5G get EMUI 11.0.0.149 update

Huawei is sending a new software update to the Nova 7 5G and Nova 7 Pro 5G phones. It brings several optimizations, WeChat fixes, and new icons.

The latest update for Nova 7 5G and Nova 7 Pro 5G can be identified by software version EMUI 11.0.0.149. It brings smart information setting items, quick download icons for Education Center and Link Now apps, and optimizes call stability, sound experience, and compatibility with some third-party applications. The update also fixes WeChat related problem. 

Huawei launched the Nova 7 5G and Nova 7 Pro 5G back in April 2020 with Android-10 based EMUI 10. After receiving a major upgrade, both the devices are now running EMUI 11. In the last couple of years, Huawei has been developing its own OS known as HarmonyOS. The company has already started beta testing and may start rolling out the update by the end of this year. Both the Nova 7 5G and Nova 7 Pro 5G are eligible to receive HarmonyOS update but the rollout schedule is currently unknown.
