Huawei has officially started rolling out the January 2022 HarmonyOS update for Huawei Nova 7 Series handsets in China. This new update will bring security improvements, protecting the devices against any vulnerabilities and threats.
The January 2022 Security Update will come with the HarmonyOS v2.00.220, although the base version for installing the update is HarmonyOS 2.0.216/2.0.0.218 Further, the update will fix 4CVEs in the framework, 5 CVEs in the application, 10 CVEs in the system, and a huge 111 CVEs in the third-party libraries.

How to update your Huawei Nova 7 Series smartphones?
You can manually download and install this update by going to your device’s settings. For doing that, follow these simple instructions –
- Open the Settings
- Click on System and Updates
- Now, open Software Update
- Tap on the option Check for Updates
- If the update is available, simply click on Download and Install
- Once the installation is finished, reboot your Huawei Nova 7 Series devices
Alternatively, you could manually request software updates through the “My Huawei” app. In order to do that, open the “My Huawei app”, tap on the “Update” option, then select the “Check for Updates” option, and finally “Download and Install”.
