Huawei P10 Lite now receiving September security patch 2020 with EMUI 8.0.0.398

Many manufacturers have started rolling out the very latest January 2021 security patch update to their devices and Huawei seems lagging behind. Huawei P10 Lite has now started to get the September 2020 security patch update.

As per the reports by huaweiblog.de, the device has started to get the update with EMUI version 8.0.0.398. The update is around 2.73GB in size. The update is being rolled out in Europe as an OTA. If you own the device, you should check whether your device has received the update or not.

You can manually check for the update, go to System > Software update > Check for updates. If the update is not available in your region, just wait for few more days. There is another way to update, open HiCare app > Update > Check for updates.

The current update is still based on Android 10. The update brings stability and performance improvements to the device. The update also addresses various bugs which were present in the previous build.
