Just like other smartphone OEMs, the Chinese tech giant Huawei is also running in the race of pushing the latest software update that’s EMUI 10 based on Android 10 to its eligible devices. By the start of this year, some of the reports came out that Huawei has announced the EMUI 10 update for the Huawei P30 and P20 Pro variants in the UK and Canada region. Then the Huawei P30 series users started receiving the Android 10 update under Rogers carrier in Canada. Currently, some of the users have reported that the O2 network has started rolling out the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro Android 10 (EMUI 10) update in the UK.
There are unlocked UK models and three carrier-locked variants available in the UK for the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro models. All of these variants are getting the latest EMUI 10 official stable update via OTA (over-the-air) in a phased manner.
Therefore, it will take some time to arrive on all the units completely and the interested users should wait for the official OTA update notification on their devices. Additionally, you can check for the latest software update, via the phone Settings – System – Software Update – Check for updates. Alternatively, you can check for EMUI 10 update on your Huawei device using the Huawei HiCare app.
This new Huawei P30 and P30 Pro Android 10 (EMUI 10) update brings all-new OS version, GPU Turbo, improved system & app security/privacy, location privacy, dark theme, new gestures navigation, improved transition animation, UI design elements, improved notification center & lock screen, more intuitive user experience, etc.
It’s also worth mentioning that the new software update comes with a new version V10.0.0.178 that weighs around 4.32GB in size which is much bigger for the three carrier variants.
