About Galaxy Grand 2:

This is an entry level android smartphone from Samsung.It comes with a 5.25″ TFT display which has 720p resolution.It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.2GHz quad-core processor, coupled with 1.5GB RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage, which can be extended by another 64GB using microSD.It sports an 8MP Primary Camera and a 1.9MP camera is present on the front of the device. The battery capacity is a reasonable 2600mAh.

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is an entry level android smartphone which was released in January 2014.The phone came with Android 4.4.2 KitKat.The phone is an entry level phone and now it 18 months period of support from Samsung has completed which means The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 won’t get the Marshmallow update officially from Samsung ever.But Galaxy Grand 2 users can still try android 6.0 Marshmallow on their device via CM 13.Galaxy Grand 2 CM13 brings Marshmallow update unofficially and using this guide you can safely Install CM 13 ROM On Galaxy Grand 2.

Marshmallow Gapps — Link 

Download & Install CM 13 ROM On Galaxy Grand 2

Step 1. First Of all Download the Marshmallow ROM and gapps file from the above links

Step 2. After that Connect your device to PC and transfer the ROM and gapps file to it. Disconnect the device then. Remember the location of the files.

Step 3. Boot your Galaxy Grand 2 into recovery mode. If you are rooted, you can use Quick Boot app from play store. To manually boot into recovery mode, do this:

  • Power off your device and wait for 5-10 seconds until the device is fully switched off.
  • Press and hold Volume Up + Home + Power button together until you see anything on screen. You’ll enter recovery mode.

You will enter recovery mode soon, and should see TWRP recovery. If you see an Android with an exclamation mark, then you need to install TWRP recovery for this (linked above).

    • If you have updated to official ROM then this will be a bug.It will be fixed in a software update.
      Take a backup of your important data and then do a factory reset
