  1. I have a Despair kernel installed (r5) and CM 13, with everything backed up. By the warning here about flashing over custom kernels, flashing elemental over despair kernel should not work. Should I worry about this, even though I have a backup of all partitions?

      • Did so, thanks. Although I am used to flashing Despair in this order: ROM – Kernel – Gapps – SuperSU – wipe cache – reboot, for some reason the phone takes extra long before starting the app update, after I flash ElementalX.
Also, the above order of flashing zips resulted in bootloop with EX, but ROM – Gapps – SuperSU – wipe cache – Kernel – wipe cache – reboot worked.
Would be nice to have an idea why.
