Steps to  Install Stock Recovery on OnePlus 5

  1. Download the recovery file for the OnePlus 5 to the PC
  2. Rename this file to just “recovery.img” (without the quotes)
  3. Move/copy that IMG file to the same directory that your ADB/Fastboot tools are in
  4. Open a Command Prompt/Terminal/PowerShell from that ADB directory
  5. Boot the OnePlus 5 into Fastboot Mode
  6. Type the following command into the Command Prompt. . .
  7. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
  8. Press the Enter button on the keyboard
  9. Press the Volume Down button twice to highlight the Recovery Mode option
  10. Press the Power button to select this option
  11. Wait for the OnePlus 5 to boot into Recovery Mode so you know it installed properly
  12. Then Exit Recovery Mode and boot back into Android
