IQOO U3 with Dimensity 800U SoC, 90Hz display, and 5,000mAh battery listed on JD.com ahead of the launch

IQOO U3 has been listed on the Chinese retailer website JD.com that reveals its complete specifications and pricing. It will be a budget-friendly 5G device from IQOO, which is expected to launch by the end of 2020.

The IQOO U3 sports a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop notch to house the selfie camera. The display has 1080 x 2408 pixels FullHD+ resolution, 401ppi pixel density, and supports HDR 10. Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

The handset runs Android 10 with iQOO UI 1.5 skin on the top. Around the back, it has a dual-camera setup which includes a 48-megapixel primary shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.

The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W of fast charging. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and faces unlock too. Other notable specs include Liquid cooling, Dual-sim support, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C port, side fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

JD listing reveals that the handset will come in two memory configurations: 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB. The base variant of IQOO U3 is priced at 1,498 Yuan (~$229) whereas the 8GB RAM variant will cost 1,698 Yuan (~$259). The smartphone is currently available for pre-order in Black and Glow Blue colour with a 50 Yuan discount.
