The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 was announced in December last year. Since then, many OEMs have been using the SoC. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 didn’t meet the users’ expectations as many heating issues were reported on devices with the SoC. This could be because of Samsung’s fabrication process. To fix that, Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and it was built on TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process.
The Snapdragon+ Gen 1 process came out on May 20th, 2022 and it brought along huge improvements over its predecessors. Now, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is officially here and it was released earlier than expected. In this guide, you’ll get to read about some of the expected smartphones that will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
