Meiigoo Note 8 Review: the jewel in the crown of MEIIGOO with Android Nougat, Until very recently, the most discreet Chinese firms were unable to create really powerful and competitive terminals against the rest in something more than their price. We quickly saw a transition in which these small companies made a leap towards the creation of more stable and powerful media and still, affordable. Today we are going to talk to you about the MEIIGOO Note 8.
RMG’s Meiigoo Note 8 Review
Next, we will see more about this device that could be the jewel in the crown of this Asian giant’s technology and that not only would have a reduced price as the main claim but with other characteristics in the field of performance. Is it a really balanced model, or will it have lights and shadows, as it happens in the vast majority of devices?
Design and Display
Here we still see very common elements: a Metallic housing that helps reduce the thickness of the terminal, 8 millimetres, fingerprint reader that is located next to the two rear cameras and the existence of versions in various colours such as blue and gold. The dimensions of the mobile are 16 × 7.5 centimetres and, as we will see now, the screen suppresses almost completely the side frames.
Of the rest of specifications, apart from its design that we have already commented that is equal to the Galaxy Note 8, tell you that it will have a 5.99 “screen in 18: 9 format with FullHD + resolution (2160x1080p).
If we look under the case, we will find a MediaTek processor, specifically the MT6750T, the vitamin version of the MT6750, SoC very used and tested that will be composed of 8 cores capable of working at a maximum frequency of 1.5GHz.
This processor will be accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage expandable up to 256GB more through microSD.
In the component of the cameras, this Meiigoo Note 8 will come equipped with a double rear sensor of 13 and 5MP respectively and a front sensor of 5MP, figures a little bit loose and that, as we always say, we will have to wait to see what result they give when letting have this terminal in your hand.
The autonomy of this Meiigoo Note 8 will be determined by its 3300mAh battery, which a priori capacity is very good but it will be necessary to see if it is capable of withstanding the consumption of the large screen of this terminal and if its consumption is well purified through of software.
- Battery Life
- Build Quality
- Memory (Storage)
- Software Update
- Heats up while playing heavy games
- Not so popular company
The operating system that will have installed this new terminal of Meiigoo will be Android Nougat (7.0) doubting that they update it at some point to Android Oreo.
This terminal is now ready for booking in the most popular Chinese online sales websites at a price of approximately $159.99.
This device boasts a RAM of 4 GB. At first glance, this may seem strange considering that there are already models that double it, but it should be taken into account if we consider that the terminal does not exceed $160. To this is added an initial storage of 64 that can be expanded to 256 using Micro SD cards. The operating system is Nougat and its processor could be its small Achilles heel since it stays at 1.5 GHz. It can be adjusted if we consider its 6-inch screen, its resolution of 2160 × 1080 pixels and its two rear cameras of 13 and 5 Mpx. Overall Meiigoo Note 8 pretty tough and good device with the latest components available at this price.
