Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25201

Microsoft has been working on adding some new features for Windows 11 with the latest developer beta – Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25201. The newest Windows 11 Insider Preview build brings forth numerous features to the OS. Microsoft has been testing the Expanded Widgets View, refinements to the File Explorer search, Game Pass widget improvements, bug fixes, and more. The new incremental update has been seeding to the eligible systems having Windows 11 Insider Preview 25201.1000 (rs_prerelease) build version. The newly released update will be available to users who have opted developer channel in the Windows Insider preview program.

What’s new in the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25201

Microsoft has been pushing the new build to the dev channel with Expanded View in Widgets. There will be an option by which you’ll be able to expand the widgets view to the full window. You will be able to use the expand and collapse button in the top-right corner for changing the view of the widgets panel. The update will also bring in upgrades to the recently released Game Pass widget with an option to sign in.

Moving to the changes and fixes, the new update will bring improvements to the File Explorer search. It’ll now show results as you’re typing. Microsoft has been testing more cloud file results in the search option.

The update also addresses the following issues – memory leak issue when closing the file explorer, explorer.exe crashing issue fix when you were dragging a snap group in Task View, apps in the taskbar overflow flyout showing in the correct order when you were using Arabic display language, and more.

If you have joined the dev channel on the Insider Preview Program and running on Windows 11, you’ll be able to receive the preview build. You can just go to Settings -> Windows Update -> Click on Check for Updates. You can then directly install the update on your PC.
