The Indian version of Redmi 8A has started grabbing a new software update. The update comes with software version V11.0.5.0.PCPINXM. It is an MIUI 11.0.5.0 India Stable ROM available for the device. It is an incremental update which addressed some bugs and improves the security and stability of the device. The new update bumps the security patch to December 2019.

India is the largest market for the Redmi devices and the company has been providing great software support in the country. All most all Xiaomi devices in India are getting the latest security updates. Xiaomi Redmi 8A is the successor to the Redmi 7A and the device was launched with Android 9 Pie out of the box.
