Motorola had launched the Moto G5 Plus in India on March 15 and the phone was priced at Rs. 14,999 and the price went upto Rs. 16,999 and the phone features some impressive specs with the phone’s camera hardware similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the phone has been creating quite a buzz in the Indian market as well. Moto G5 Plus’s official partner for selling the smartphones in India, Flipkart has reported that Moto G5 Plus has been the fastest selling phone this year. Now that the Moto G5 Plus was launched, we were anticipating the launch of Moto G5, Motorola G5’s sibling variant.
Motorola, the child company of Lenovo has released the Moto G5 in the India today. Priced at Rs 11,999, Moto G5 will go on sale in India starting tonight from 11:59PM exclusively on Amazon. One thing to note is that Moto G5 is the first phone to come with Amazon Prime in India.

As for the specifications of the phone, Moto G5 sports a 5-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. Although not water-proof, the phone comes with a nano-coating which makes it water-repellent. Powered by 1.4Ghz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU, the Moto G5 runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. There’s a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF support while a 5MP shooter sits there at the front with f/2.2 aperture and wide-angle lens for selfie lovers. To keep the juices flowing we find a 2,800mAh removable battery with support for 10W quick charge. Under the hood, the Moto G5 packs in 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage further expandable upto 128GB via a microSD card. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the front adding an extra layer of security to the Moto G5 which will be up for grabs in two color options- Lunar Grey and Fine Gold.
