If your device is n’t rooted then you can still check for OTA update by Going to settings > About device > System Update. The update will be available at any time in the U.S. (Moto Z Android Nougat)
Build Number of this update is NPL25.86-17-3, before installing the update make sure to charge your mobile’s battery up to 80% and connect your device with Wi-fi. Keep in mind that, this update is only for Unlocked Moto Z variant and only available in the U.S.
